A brand new Greggs café at a County Durham retail park is set to open this weekend - here's all the details.
Greggs is set to open its newest location in Dalton Park this weekend (April 20) with a grand opening event.
The North East bakery chain, which is renowned for its sausages rolls and savouries, will now operate the location as one of its cafes - which will hold seating for customers inside.
Its opening comes just over a month after Starbucks, which previously operated in the unit announced it would be closing (March 10) but will be opening a drive-thru in the area "soon".
Following weeks of speculation about what the unit would be turned into, plans were lodged with Durham County Council to install signs and make other changes, confirming the change.
The unit has since been boarded up as construction continued, teasing the opening.
